Overview

Dynatex’s Original is one of the longest-established reusable timed BFGs in UK airsoft. It uses a mechanical delay rather than impact activation and combines a hard polymer shell with a metal internal mechanism. Current UK listings centre on the .209 configuration, while compatible 9mm tops remain available separately in parts of the market. Its long service history and ability to operate without a hard landing surface make it an important reference model for the Airsoft DB BFG section.

UK site notes

Useful across CQB and woodland because activation does not depend on the landing surface. Site-specific BFG and charge-type restrictions still apply.

Research notes

Multiple UK retailers continue to list the Dynatex Original timed BFG in 2026, including in-stock listings. Current references support the .209 configuration with roughly 3–5 second delay and 55 mm × 110 mm body dimensions. Audit 2026-10-14: Current .209 listing confirms 110 mm height, 55 mm diameter and 3–5 s nominal delay. Retailers also give a shorter nominal 3 s figure, so timing is not an exact guaranteed fuse. Current configuration is .209; previous 9 mm versions do not prove compatibility of the current unit, so the unverified current 9 mm adapter claim has been removed. No reliable unpackaged mass found; Action Hobbies generic 1.1 kg field was rejected. Unfilled numeric 0 means unknown, except impact delay 0 denotes immediate activation.
