Overview

The Dynatex Dominator is the impact-activated counterpart to the company’s long-established timed grenade. Its relatively light polymer outer shell surrounds a reusable metal mechanism and current UK-market units are commonly supplied in .209 configuration, with compatible 9mm tops available separately. It remains a familiar UK CQB choice where a hard landing surface is available.

UK site notes

Best suited to hard CQB/urban surfaces; soft mud or deep vegetation can reduce impact reliability. Always follow the site's BFG deployment rules.

Research notes

Current UK retailer listings continue to sell the Dynatex Dominator in 2026. Multiple sources support its single-shot impact operation, .209 configuration and 54 mm × 102 mm dimensions; current availability varies by retailer. Audit 2026-10-14: Current retailer product descriptions confirm .209 operation, polymer shell, metal internals, removable pin, 54 mm diameter and 102 mm overall height with top fitted (90 mm body without top). No current 9 mm top compatibility evidence found for this configuration; the current charge field is restricted to .209. No reliable unpackaged mass found; generic 1.1 kg retailer metadata was not used.
