Overview

The S.W.A.T. B.F.G.X. is a compact reusable impact grenade from the same UK manufacturer as the V.T.G. The current product is sold as a multi-shell-capable platform and is cross-compatible with the V.T.G. family, with adapters for several blank formats. Its current gemstone-colour range keeps a long-running British impact-BFG design in active production.

UK site notes

Although the platform can accept multiple blank formats, many UK sites restrict permitted calibres and indoor use. The site's current rules take precedence over device capability.

Research notes

The manufacturer continues to sell the gemstone-colour B.F.G.X. range directly in 2026 and lists .209, 9mm and 12-gauge compatibility through the current adapter/cap system. Active manufacturer listings support current market status. Audit 2026-10-14: Current manufacturer gemstone-colour listing confirms safety-pin assembly, alloy/stainless construction and .209/9 mm/12-gauge adapter capability. No numerical device dimensions or mass published there. Fife 320 g and 20 x 10 x 10 cm additional-information fields describe a broader/older BFGx listing, so they were not transferred to this current revision. Unfilled numeric 0 means unknown, except impact delay 0 denotes immediate activation.
